I have stayed here twice before and liked it greatly. The location is just terrific . If you know the short cut from Asahikawa Station to the property , it is a 2 minute walk , otherwise approx 7 minutes, which is no big deal. If you come to Asahikawa as a jumping off point to explore this part of Japan , the property is very close to two of Japan's most reputable car hire companies. Nipon Car Hire , a 30 second walk from the properties front door and Toyota Hire Car about 5 minutes walk . Close to the property is the AEON center. Where you will find a spectacular range of all things Japanese , every conceivable type of Japanese food , the famous Hokkaido chocolates and restaurants . After much experimentation re restaurants , I humbly suggest , just go to the 4th floor. A little further a field 15 - 20 minutes walk an entire other world of small traditional Japanese eating and drinking shops. They are wonderful. Take translator app with you , if not you will be fine, bit of sign is good. I like this place so much I have almost forgotten to address the actual property. It is as most places to stay in Japan are spotlessly clean and safe. The male onsen is as good as Tokyo Station Hotel , better than the beautiful Imperial Hotel. The staff are wonderful. All in all AAA rating from JP

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel WBF Grande Asahikawa and would stay again. I arrived before check-in time. The reception staff kept my luggage and I went out to explore Asahikawa. When I returned I was told that my luggage was already in my room. Very good service! The room was well designed with room to open my luggage, a reasonable sized desk and comfortable bed. There were a good number of electrical sockets with USB charging sockets, including by the bed. There was a lounge available in the afternoon and evening with complementary sake and wine to taste. There is an onsen on the 2nd floor free for guests. There is a jacuzzi type whirlpool pool and a pool that seems to use ultrasound! The hotel is only about 5 or 10 minutes walk from JR train station, the bus terminal and AEON shopping mall. There is a big play area for children in the reception area, so good for families waiting to check-in.

Great location clean and quiet. Hokaido resort liner to the door. Aeon mall and jr rail is only a block away. The short cut out the back door makes it very close. Onsen is very good and free for hotel guests, although it is not natural spring it is so clean and many different pools to use. Sauna is really hot and a cold pool is really cold. Highly recommend.

Ross

It was close to the train station. It was next to an exceptional walking or cycling path along the Chebetsu River. Nice gardens near the hotel and station. I was given good support from JR Tourist Information on how to find the bus to take me to a climb I wanted to make. I met good people, a nice woman, had a fun Onsen bath and sushi.

Theo

The hotel is located really close to the station and within walking distance of the city centre area. The public bath has a good selection of baths. The rooms are nothing special but comfortable and clean.
